part of Imagine Partners in Art Create your own unique fused glass jewelry Warm Fusion Glass classes provide an introduction to the glass fusing process. In glass fusing, pieces of colorful glass are cut, assembled and then fired. Because glass melts and flows at high temperatures, firing causes the glass to fuse into a single multicolor piece. You’ll use your creativity in choosing and cutting the glass to create your own designs. Firing will cause the straight edges of the cut glass to fuse together into unique shapes with rounded edges. Fired glass pieces can be made into necklaces, pendants, earrings, or pins.
Glass fusing can also be used to make decorative light pulls, key chains, and cufflinks. 701 Doug Baker Blvd, Suite 110 Birmingham, Alabama 35242 In the Village at Lee Branch Shopping Center The studio location in Lee Branch will be closing at the end of June. Classes are $40 and include all the materials, findings, and firing required to make up to 3 pieces of jewelry. When you return to pick up your fused glass you can add the finishing touches to make your pendants, earrings, and pins ready to wear.
